Membership & Meeting Information
The Forum comprises a mix of public and private representatives — from local and central government, independent consultancies, local business, community groups, and non-government and research organisations.
The work has been supported in part by one of the national business network organisations and one of the local city councils that pledged to help organise and provide administrative services for four of these meetings a year.
Further meetings are organised by other member agencies so that, on average, meetings are held every six weeks for 2–3 hours.
Meetings cover a range of topics of relevance to issues of sustainability, the agenda is set by participants volunteering topics and everyone with an interest in sustainability is welcome to attend.
Decision making, where necessary, is generally based on consensus but while participants represented their organisations, they have no mandated decision-making responsibility.
